Nintendo released their Wii in Europe last Friday and I managed to get one of them home before they were sold out - which was within a few minutes here in Oslo. I also got myself a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. And after a good weekend of playing I must say that I am more than satisfied.
The Wii comes with Wii Sports; a game which lets you play tennis, golf, bowling, boxing and baseball. It's got a very simple style, but it's lots of fun - and gives you a great chance to check out the new controls in different ways. And they work surprisingly good. It is in fact a very comfortable way of gaming and everything feels a lot more natural. And it didn't take long before I started waving my tv-remote by accident as well.
But I've obviously spent most time with Zelda. A wonderful game.
Where other consoles focus on graphics and power, the Wii is all about inovation and having fun playing. Because there is nothing extremely stunning about the graphics on the Wii. There's no DVD-player in it or other sorts of useless stuff. It's pure gaming and it's gaming with style. Because Nintendo has made the sexiest console ever. Wii is cool! :)
